Game Call Custom Work Policy
All custom made Homochitto Hollow Woodworks duck calls are single reed Arkansas style calls and are supplied with a replacement reed and cork.
Homochitto Hollow Woodworks is not responsible for any unseen cracks, checks, voids or other defects in customer supplied wood that are discovered during the turning and assembly process.
All customer supplied wood used for game calls must be air dried or kiln dried and have a moisture content of 12% or less.
All customer supplied wood used for game calls must be milled to a minimum size of 6/4 x 6/4 x 3¼” for duck call barrels and 5/4 x 5/4 x 6” for duck call toneboards/stoppers. Customer supplied wood for turkey pots must be milled to a minimum size of 4” x 4” x 4/4. Customer supplied wood for deer grunt tubes must be milled to a minimum size of 5/4 x 5/4 x 4”. Homochitto Hollow Woodworks DOES NOT mill customer supplied wood.
If barrel material for duck calls and deer grunt tubes is supplied pre-drilled, the hole MUST be centered and cleanly drilled with a high quality, precision 5/8" brad point bit. DO NOT use a spade bit to drill the hole. Any raw or finished barrel must be a minimum of 3 1/4" in length.
All shipping costs to and from Homochitto Hollow Woodworks are the responsibility of the customer. Return shipping & handling fee is $10.00 per call and includes delivery confirmation and insurance (required) up to $200.00. Delivery time is usually 2 to 3 weeks.
If only the toneboard for a duck call is custom made, Homochitto Hollow Woodworks must have the specific customer barrel for fitting purposes.
The only finish available is a multi-coat gloss spar urethane.
All calls made with Cocobolo or Bocote will be sanded to 12,000 grit and finished with a high quality friction wax.
Complete custom calls from customer supplied wood are $100.00 each for duck calls, $65.00 each for turkey pots, $20 each for strikers and $45 dollars each for deer grunt tubes.
Duck call barrels only (with or without bands) from customer supplied wood are $50.00 each plus shipping & handling.
Toneboards only from customer supplied wood are $50.00 each plus shipping and handling.
